Throughout history, men have gone to war to save their homelands from the tirants of the world. Along their sides many women fought as well. They fought as military personel and as civilians. They have fought as nurses, spies and Air Force pilots. Some even tricked the military and fought as men because that was the only way they could get combat service.
The dedication and service that these femles gave to their countries are endless. In situations all over the world they served with honor in many of the most dangerous locations. This blog lists but a few. But it is dedicated to all this women that were there to help when they were needed. Some returned home to live their lives with most never knowing the sacrifice they gave. Others, like so many men who fought, died before coming home. I salute each and every one of them. Like their male counterparts, to say they were fearless may not be true. They had fear. However, they would overcome that fear and march into danger willingly. This is what makes a hero.
